Fulghor is a powerful and challenging Centaur boss. The only way to beat Fulghor is by focusing on its vulnerabilities, its attack scheme, and specific combat tactics for both battle phases. Familiarity with Fulghor's vulnerability to lightning and his movement scheme is key to winning this fight in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Understanding Its Vulnerability

Fulghor has a significant lightning weakness. When attacked by lightning, Fulghor staggers with an explosion. The weakness occurs very often in the fight, thus making lightning a valuable tool to win the battle. Fulghor receives a lightning debuff while under lightning's control that lowers damage output and increases damage taken, giving you a great bonus.

The lightning proc needs to be completed before the next proc can interrupt the boss. You can time out lightning procs on animations you want to terminate, so this weakness is as effective as possible during the fight.

Phase One Strategy

Fulghor is very mobile in the fight, dashing about and bouncing for most attacks in Elden Ring Nightreign. While pauses follow these attacks, the boss is mobile while performing them. If you are going agro on Fulghor, you must work on avoiding attacks while attempting to stay somewhat still, as this keeps the boss stationary for a considerable time.

When Fulghor uses a spear combo, you must roll back and behind Fulghor. Spinning around and blocking in front of Fulghor prevents the boss from being able to move so much, giving you a chance to deal constant damage.

Fulghor's Attack Patterns

You must watch for Fulghor's Leap-Slam-Attacks that create Ground Fissures where he attacks in Elden Ring Nightreign. These attacks will hit you, whether or not you are aggroed, and force you to range out the attack or dodge simultaneously. Position and awareness are key to avoiding these area-of-effect attacks.

One of Fulghor's most devastating attacks is the Glowing-Spear-Attack. The boss will cease movement with this attack, charge power into the spear, and then thrust the spear onto the ground. Shortly after, holy spears erupt from the ground beneath you. The attack cannot be outranged, but you can roll away if you manage to time it.

The attack produces residual areas of damage that need to be avoided. This attack is a prime target for disruption by lightning procs and should be prioritized to attack with such.

Phase Two Strategy

Fulghor obtains a huge Poison Arm with an increased attack range at the second stage in Elden Ring Nightreign. Most of the attacks of this arm produce waves of poison that extend across the battlefield, transforming the dodging strategy. Rolling sideways or backward will result in damage from the effects of the poison.

You must adjust by rolling into and at Fulghor's back, doing the Circling Tactic. The boss has a longer combo that will continue for five or six attacks, but staying close and circling at Fulghor's back will have the boss stuck in one place for long periods, giving you time to deal massive damage.
